Practical support for start-up and expanding businesses in Renfrewshire is provided through the Council's Business Gateway service. Businesses are allocated a personal Business Adviser to help develop a business plan and financial projections. The adviser will also explain the practical steps to setting up a business (e.g. business registration, insurance, tax, VAT, National Insurance etc) and help to identify potential sources of funding to get the business up and running.
